“I’ve been hairdressing just under 11 years. I started out in a salon in Mount Barker, where I went through such a big part of my career. I started as an apprentice, moved to senior stylist and then on to manager in the 6 years I was there.. my life then moved down the hill and I was lucky enough to win a job with Toni&Guy.
This sent me to Sydney for two months of intense training…. intense should be underlined!! Haha I thought I was a good hairdresser, but flying back home I realised I was a bloody amazing hairdresser after surviving the 8 weeks.. it was a hard experience, but still one of the most rewarding, plus I made some amazing friends along the way.
After a few years with them I ventured back up into the hills. I must be a sucker for the cold weather haha.. and worked/managed a small but busy salon in Stirling. Being me, I craved for more & needed to put my own twist on things. I took the leap of faith & started working for myself out of a salon on Henley beach Rd. Surrounded by an amazing tribe there, I enjoyed 6 months there until I stumbled upon my space.. and that’s where I leave it.. to be continued…
I started hairdressing because I love people. I love that I can make someone feel great about themselves.. but most of all I love building relationships. I just want everyone who visits Hair&F.A.R to walk away with a smile, not just because their hair looks amazing, but because they have had an experience that made them feel comfortable, relaxed & valued.
